

The Kalfu Group was born in 2011 and has been presented in various stages making presentations to students and universities in concerts whose main objective is to promote respect for indigenous peoples and cultural integration through music fusion and poetry in Mapudungun. His first album La Cantata Mapudungun is a musical creation by Jaime Herrera Andaúr, based on the translation of 20th century Chilean poets into Mapudungun by Elicura Chihuailaf Nahuelpan (candidate for National Literature Prize 2012-National Poetry Prize 2015 - National Award nominee of Literature 2016) that also includes poems of its authorship. This is a winning project of the 2012 CNCA Music Fund. His second album, TRAWVN / REUNIÓN, is an album that was born as a result of the "CANTANTA MAPUNDUNGUN". The album TRAWVN / REUNIÓN, has summoned different artists around the poetry of Elicura Chihuailaf Nahuelpan, contains 14 poems musicized by musicians like Nano Stern, Manuel Garcia, Joe Vasconcellos, Francisca Valenzuela, Manuel Huerta, Andrés Godoy, Tata Barahona, Kike Galdames, Juanito Ayala, Jaime Herrera, Pablo Domingo Herrera and as guest musicians participated Pancho Sazo, Beatriz Pichimalen, Miguel Angel Pellao, Efren Viera, Rodolfo Perez, Claudio Concha, Carolina Martinez and murga "La Antiburga", All the themes arranged, recorded and interpreted by KALFU.
