

Vicentico is an undisputed star of the history of rock of the last twenty years. The importance of his career with LOS FABULOSOS CADILLACS adds - from 2002 - the brilliant start of a career as SOLISTA, with the success of his first two albums. In that year he recorded and edited VICENTICO. This first solo CD quickly became a success: he got excellent reviews from the specialized media and great adhesion from the people. It was Gold and Platinum record for its level of sales in Argentina and its first two singles "Wake up the City" and "Guilty" sounded a lot on all stations in the country. "Algo Contigo" - their third single - was number 1 on national radio for seven consecutive weeks. He made many shows in Argentina and abroad. The following year he was nominated in six categories for the Gardel Awards, being the artist with the most nominations. He toured Argentina presenting this material in theaters of different cities and participated in the most important festivals (San Pedro Rock, Cosquín Rock and Quilmes Rock - with more than 20,000 people in the River Plate stadium). Outside, he played in Spain, (Teatro Cervantes in Málaga, El Divino Aqualung in Madrid, the XII Festival of Southern Pyrenees Cultures - undoubtedly one of the most select festivals in the Iberian Peninsula -, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Huesca Festival - along with artists of the likes of Café Tacuba, Yossou N'Dour and Orishas, closed the tour at the prestigious Sfinks festival in Belgium, before more than 10,000 people.) Followed by Puerto Rico, the US (Los Angeles, Anaheim, Miami ) and Mexico (Guadalajara, Ensenada, Mejicali) closing the tour on May 11 at the "Vive Latino" mega festival, in the Federal District of Mexico, before a crowd. He participated in the MTV Awards in Miami, (singing the song "Matador" with Ricky Martin, Juanes and Charly Alberti) in which he is awarded as 'Best new artist' and in which he was the only Argentine awarded. The year ends with a new presentation of this work in the city of Buenos Aires, this time at the legendary Luna Park Stadium, full of spectators. In 2004 saw his second album, called LOS RAYOS. A success, effusively received by the public and the critique that led him to perform many shows from the "official" presentation at the Luna Park (two functions to full full). This disc had the support of 3 video clips, "Los caminos de la vida", the brand new version of the song "Tiburón" by Rubén Blades, and "La Libertad". Participating in the album were guest musicians such as Julieta Venegas, Flavio Cianciarulo (bassist of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs) and Lucho González. This album surpassed the award of DOUBLE PLATINUM with more than 80,000 units sold. It was also published throughout Latin America and in Spain. He received multiple awards, including 4 Gardel statuettes in the categories Best Rock Artist Album, Best Cover Design, Best Video Clip, Year Song for "The Ways of Life". He also received the Clarín Espectáculos prize as the "Popular Melodic Figure" of 2005. In October 2006, LOS PAJAROS, the third solo album by Vicentico, arrived. This album contains 10 original songs all composed by Gabriel Fernández Capello (Vicentico), except "Ayer" by Daniel Melingo. Los Pájaros became a Platinum Record on the day of its release. The most remembered singles of diffusion of this album stayed during months in the first positions of the charts of radio and television. They were: "The tree of the square", "If they leave me", "Happiness" and "Yesterday". The official presentation of this album was at the Estadio Obras de Buenos Aires that received Vicentico on stage with an ovation and continued on a tour throughout the country and throughout Latin America. The return to Buenos Aires was marked by a series of intimate shows in La Trastienda in mid-2007. He then appeared at the CITY OF BUENOS AIRES CLUB, within the framework of PERSONAL FEST and then began an extensive tour of Mexico that took him to DF, Puebla and Juarez. In 2008, the return of LOS FABULOSOS CADILLACS was publicly announced. In this context, a VICENTICO album titled HITS 2002-2008 was released in which the best songs of his solo stage were compiled and 3 bonus tracks unpublished were included. Those songs were: "Combo imbécil", composed and recorded by VICENTICO along with CALLE 13 in Mexico, on the occasion of their participation in the FUSIONA2 program that was broadcast throughout Latin America on December 26 and 27, 2007 through the SONY channel ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION; "Las manos", a new version of the song with which the Los Pájaros album ends; "Navegando", Spanish version made by VICENTICO from "Sailing", a topic popularized by Rod Stewart.
